The article describes a method for converting human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) into cancer stem cells (CSCs) using a media containing conditioned medium (CM) from human pancreatic cancer cells supplemented with specific inhibitors (MEK inhibitor and GSK-3α/β inhibitor). The converted cells exhibited CSC characteristics and could be a valuable tool for modeling diseases and developing personalized cancer models to investigate tumor initiation and screen personalized therapies on CSCs.
